What We Do

Practice Limited to the provision of Canadian, Australian and New Zealand Immigration Medical Exams, as well as Norwegian Maritime Authority merchant marine certification exams

With over 25 years experience as a certified Panel Physician representing the immigration medical departments of the IRCC (Immigration and Refugee Commission Canada), DHA (Department of Home Affairs - Australia) and INZ (Immigration New Zealand), Dr. Eric Strandberg is privileged to have the opportunity to offer a practice location dedicated to the timely and efficient performance of Immigration Medical Examinations for these 3 countries.

With medical exam, laboratory services and radiographic (chest xray) capability in a single location, our goal is to provide flexibility and a seamless, worry-free experience for our immigration exam clients.

Immigration medical exams for all three countries are submitted through the secure eMedical web portal, a joint venture which has been in usage since 2014.

Similarly, we will continue to provide specialized merchant marine examinations for the Norwegian Maritime Authority, with documentation and certificates issued through their secured web portal.

Eric Strandberg, MD

Dr. Eric Strandberg is a board-certified Family Physician with over 30 years experience in the fields of primary care, urgent care and occupational medicine, having practiced in the South Lake Union area of downtown Seattle since 1985.

Having been raised in the Seattle area, he obtained his undergraduate degree from Stanford University. As a proud tenor sax-playing member of, and music arranger for, the Leland Stanford Junior University Marching Band, he was an inadvertent co-originator of the Stanford Tree mascot. Returning to Seattle, Dr. Strandberg attended medical school at the University of Washington prior to completing a family practice residency at the University of Colorado affiliated programs in Denver and Grand Junction, Colorado, finishing his training in 1983.

In 1993, Dr. Strandberg was offered the opportunity to join the Canadian Immigration Panel of Designated Medical Providers. A decade later he was asked to join the Australian panel, followed by New Zealand in 2014.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Strandberg enjoys hiking, backpacking, skiing, gardening and home improvement projects. He is an avid Seattle Sounders fan and longtime Shoreline area youth soccer field scheduler and board member.
